Work for Spotless

Are you looking for a meaningful job in the cleaning industry?

Spotless offers fantastic opportunities for dedicated professionals across the UK. We believe that hard work deserves recognition and support. Our cleaning operators stay with us for an average of 3.8 years, and our managers for 8 years – a massive achievement in an industry often plagued by high turnover rates.

Our approach is simple: "Happy cleaners make happy clients." We value our workforce, the backbone of our business, and ensure they are well taken care of. We believe a rewarding cleaning job should enhance your life, not consume it. We promote work-life balance, offer personal growth, and acknowledge your dedication. We also ensure that our employees are highly trained.

Here's how we back our employees:

Living Wage Recognised Service Provider

As a Living Wage Foundation Recognised Service Provider, we base quotes on the Real Living Wage for all clients. Even if they prefer the national living wage (we always use the national living wage rate, regardless of age), we offer a Real Living Wage option and explain why we consider it best. Zero-hours contracts? Not on our watch.

Empowered with Timegate

In cleaning, concerns about pay accuracy, overtime, extra work, and leave verification arise. Timegate gives employees self-service tools on their phones. With the Timegate app, access reports, pay slips, resolve pay and rate queries, view schedules, and more, all on the go.

Training through UhUb

We've raised the bar with UhUb, a cloud-based cleaning training system. Accessible from any internet-enabled device, it covers training for every cleaning task with videos in multiple languages, demonstrating the right and safe approach for each task.

Financial Flexibility with Wagestream

Since early 2023, we've offered Wagestream. It lets employees access up to 50% of accrued wages before payday, perfect for unforeseen expenses. This prevents bank charges and financial stress. Wagestream, a not-for-profit organisation, ensures fair treatment and minimal charges while offering financial advice.

Identity Confirmation with uComply

We use uAuthenticate by uComply to confirm new applicant employees' identities and UK right-to-work status. This Home Office-approved service provides peace of mind during onboarding, allowing us to employ individuals from diverse backgrounds and tackle modern slavery.

Our Work Culture

Spotless provides enduring careers because we value our professional relationships. With one-on-one interactions, available senior members, mental health first aiders, and more, we've struck a balance between empathy and professionalism. At Spotless, we look after you.

Cleaning Operative: Pat

Pat, a proud grandmother of four, has been working for Spotless for over six years. She feels that Spotless is a good company to work for because she is always supported by her leadership team. Not only does she have the flexibility to revolve around her life and spending time with family, but she also genuinely enjoys working for our clients.

Account Manager: Amanda

Amanda previously worked in hairdressing, and since being hired in 2022 has excelled as one of our Account Managers. In her private life, she loves to socialise; a life skill that has served her well while working for us. With a bubbly personality, and an approach full of empathy, she has made great relationships with her team and our clients.

HQ Staff Member: Graeme

When he isn’t out modding his Mini Cooper, Graeme works at our Spotless Head Office as Consumables Co-ordinator. Graeme started at Spotless in 2015 when he was just nineteen years old. He has grown alongside the company and become an invaluable team member and is also an encyclopaedia of hygiene and consumables knowledge (seriously, we can quiz him on any product!).
